A genuine curiosity about the Pittsburgh / Southwestern PA area in conjunction with exploring the possibilities of rekindled teenage romance brought me to this region. The romance aspect fizzled rather quickly (thankfully in retrospect) and allowed me to focus on taking a breath and realizing what lay before me. Before making the decision to head back to New York City, I gave myself the opportunity to check out this territory and nearby surrounding interests. I simply winged it for a little over 6 months just living on savings and seeing what could be seen.
